Case Studies
PURENERGY Operating Services has been involved in the startup, commissioning and subsequent O&M of several facilities including:
- In 2001, PURENERGY commissioned the 80 MW Colton Power, LP peaking facilities comprising two 40 MW facilities, each with four 10 MW simple cycle turbines in Colton, California. The sites, Drews and Century, were constructed in response to the energy crisis, and met or exceeded all startup deadlines. In addition to being the General Partner, PURENERGY provides asset management and O&M services to the Project.
- In 2002, PURENERGY was awarded a Professional Services Agreement with the City of Riverside Public Utilities Department to provide technical management services to the Riverside 40 MW Springs Peaking Facility. This plant provided operational flexibility to the City’s energy requirements.
- In 2002, PURENERGY commissioned the Kauai Power Partners 27 MW base load facility located on the Island of Kauai and owned by Dominion Energy, Inc. PURENERGY Operating Services was awarded a 10-year Asset Management and Operating Services Agreement at the Kauai facility.
