The Owner is our partner and we will operate the facility as a business to benefit the owner’s investment. PURENERGY will operate the facility in a safe and environmentally responsible manner while maximizing the reliability and efficiency to provide the most economic benefit to the Owner.
PURENERGY philosophy is to provide open and free access to all project information including operational and maintenance data as well as any other information the Owner may deem important. We will continually look for ways to improve the facility through improved operations and maintenance and suggested capital improvements.
PURENERGY will present an Annual Budget and Operating Plan which will contain complete information on how PURENERGY will take care of the asset for the Owner. PURENERGY employs a strict cost control philosophy which results in a balance between providing superior services while protecting project economics. PURENERGY also believes in a series of incentives that align the needs of the Owner and project with the needs of the Operator. It is critical that Operator incentives bring benefits to the project Owner.
PURENERGY will provide information to the Lender in a practical manner, whenever requested by the Owner. We will cooperate with the Owner to ensure that the Lender is satisfied with on site operations and the performance of PURENERGY. PURENERGY understands the importance of the Financial Covenants with power facilities, and will support the Owner to fully comply with these documents. On projects that we work directly for the lender, we will treat them as a partner providing detail well in excess of that required by the typical loan covenants.
PURENERGY understands the importance of being a good citizen in the community. Our employees will live in those communities, and we have a great deal of experience as the Owner’s ambassadors to the community, becoming involved in local commerce organizations and addressing any issues directly and honestly. This approach has been very successful.
When a project has a thermal energy contract the thermal host is critical to the survival of the power project. The thermal host, therefore, becomes an intricate member of the business. PURENERGY will operate to meet all contractual obligations, while maintaining a productive rapport, and ensure that the facilities remain FERC QF facilities if required. PURENERGY will become familiar with the needs of the thermal host, and work to support the thermal host to insure a positive relationship exists.
The Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) is the most important document for the project. PURENERGY will study the PPA and determine everything necessary to comply with this agreement. PURENERGY will model the plant, with the PPA contractual obligations a key part of the model. Plant operations will be monitored closely with the aid of the PURENERGY Model to maintain compliance. Technical information requested by the utility will be supplied, as practical, upon approval of Owner. The Operator will maintain positive communications with the utility, understanding the importance of good relations.
